What song reminds you the most of your childhood?

“Sprinkle Me” by E-40. E-40 was my dad's favorite rapper, so I heard that song a lot growing up. He was actually friends with B-Legit. We’re cousins with the Bay Area here in Seattle.

What was the first physical record you remember buying?

Stillmatic by Nas. He was my first favorite rapper, I was 6 years old and my mom got it for me. And my next favorite rapper was Kanye. So the second album, I know this is not the question, but the second album I bought was Graduation.

What song reminds you the most of home?

The song that reminds me the most of home is “If It Isn't Love” by New Edition. It was a song that resonated with me very early. You know what I'm saying? I don't know why, but that's probably why things like that are probably why I ended up making music. But that song is something about the beat and the whole just vibe of the song that even as a kid, I was like, “Yo, this shit is the shit.” And it was always playing at my auntie's house or we had a barbecue or just a family gathering, anything like that. So it just makes me think of that time in my life.

What song reminds you of traveling to a specific place?

So the first time I ever went to Miami, to meet members of RVIDXR KLVN, I was slapping “In Da Wind” by Trick Daddy. So that still reminds me of Miami.

What is the song that you wish you had written?

“Love All” by Drake and Jay-Z. I wish I wrote that song. I like that song a lot. Also “Is That You” by The Jacka. That’s my all time favorite song. It makes me feel like I lived in an alternate dimension.

What is the best song to play at a house party?

Right now, the best bet at some house party would probably be some Carti or some Ye. Anything off Whole Lotta Red from Carti.

What song would you like played at your funeral?

“Leave Em” by me.

Describe one of your favorite songs without actually naming it or the artist who made it.

So the song starts off with a really nice melody, you know what I'm saying? Kind of melancholy, but very chill at the same time. A little motivational, somewhere in between all those. And then a drill sergeant starts talking, some motivating type shit, just kind of giving some game. And then a snare roll, crazy snare roll, and then the hook starts. And it's a little melodic, a little, how would I say this? A little emo maybe?

You're abducted by aliens and when you wake up on the spaceship, they pass you the aux. What is the song that you're playing to convince them not to destroy Earth?

“Mezmorized” by Wiz Khalifa. It's kind of the perfect song, if you ask me.
